Drill Chuck Mandrel

Drill chuck mandrel for mounting 20TPI threaded drill chucks in a lathe via morse taper.

These drill chuck mandrels are not to be confused with the cheaper mandrels that are sold theses days. They have a thread top which is screwed into the chuck body. So the drill chuck won’t move when put under load.

This drill chuck mandrel is designed to withstand the high forces that can be generated when used in a woodturning lathe.
