842FLH Fingernail Bowl Gouge

842FLH fingernail bowl gouge has a longer grind than the standard grind 842 bowl gouge.

Why do you need this? You don’t.

But the fingernail grind gouge does offer advantages over the standard grind gouge. With the 842FLH fingernail bowl gouge you have a larger cutting area so you can remove more waste wood faster. You can use this style of gouge for pull cuts, scraper cuts, heavy profile cuts and fine finishing cuts as well as the standard work carried out with a bowl gouge. So there are many reason that you might like to try this type of grind pattern.

The cutting tip is sharpened to 45°, the same as the standard gouge. Made from high quality HSS steel, the gouge has an Ash handle boasting the Robert Sorby name.
