Interference paints offer a unique finish to your work. They appear to change when viewed from different angles. From one angle they can look opalescent yet when viewed from another angle they will look like a solid complementary colour.

The Golden Artist interference acrylic colours work really well on light surfaces, such as Sycamore. The colour will look subtle but from another view point the interference paint will have a more obvious effect.

On black backgrounds or darker woods the colour is much stronger, but the flip-side of this is less dramatic.  Depending on how the paint is applied you can get a white swirl within the colour.

Adding a small amount of black to the interference paint deepens the opalescent effect of the acrylics.
